house-party and free-party vibes, and 'eklectik' styles of music. Alex has extensive music & DJ knowledge and prides in always keeping innovative & in touch with the underground music scene.

Mark S - resident dj / promoter / event organiser

Mark is a dj whose music repertoire spans a broad range of genres from old soul and funk, disco, and boogie re-edits to the wonkier side of electronic music via a bit of indie pop. Mark started DJing about eight years ago, promoting a night called Red Eye at Cosies in Bristol as well as playing at other promotions in the city at venues such as Creation and Level Bar, amongst others.

DJs he likes include Giles Peterson, Norman Jay and Greg Wilson for their soul, funk and disco... Erol, 2 Many DJ's and sparkleMotion (!) for the more electronic side....

Mr Whisk - dj

Ade Mosley A.K.A. "Mr. Whisk" has been DJ'ing for 10 years now, playing an eclectic set of funk, soul, jazz and latin. Now you're wondering why Mr Whisk? Well, due to the wide range of eclectic grooves that he plays you'd need a whisk to blend and mix these beats together!!

His interests in wanting to play out these tunes came about by chance when visiting uni mates down in Brighton , back in 1996. They took him around The Lanes by the seafront, where the Jazz Rooms are based. Britain's longest serving resident DJ Russ Duberry was rocking the place with jazz dance, rare groove, boogie and afro funk. Not forgetting fat bossa grooves and batucada, (Brazilian carnival music from Rio, which is his favourite dance tunes). On hearing these tunes Whisk was hooked, saying "It was like joining the Moonies, I was glued, well and truly"

He thought this music was hidden from people wanting to hear a different sound, but by fusing it with House, breaks, hip hop and broken beats has brought it to a wider audience. "I still drop the old stuff, just to educate where I'm coming from and illustrate my influences" says Whisk.
