Steppin' Out on Friday 30th March @ the Adelaide..

The month of March saw a party with a special cause, Steppin' Out.

We wish to thank all of those who came to support us on the 30th March. It was another 'Eklectik' night of good vibes and excellent music and everyone really pulled together, raising an awesome total of over £1000 for charity, in aid of The Stroke Association.

Huge credit goes out to Suzy & Jay for all the time spent organising and promoting for the party, plus their massive efforts on the night.

Big respects go out to all the friends and DJs who pulled together and performed superbly, respectively, and to all of you who contributed, and finally many thanks to you all for coming down and supporting us being a part of what was another great party.

Eklectik Launch Party, 24th Feb 2007 - The Official Review

Hello Party People! Just a quick note to send out a massive thanks to all those who came down for their support towards what turned out to be a great night. Pretty much from the start the diverse and 'eklectik' styles of music resulted in a really good base that led to a great vibe and atmosphere, the final result... We rocked the place!

The grooves started to roll around 8.00pm, and already a good atmosphere was developing. This was aided by the many different Eklectik badges being passed out to crew, staff and various public. All were individually unique and originally cool, designed by Mark S + co. (Nice one guys!)

Mr Whisk kicked off the music, and keeping true to our ‘Eklectik’ vision about the night, he played an amalgamation of old and new music 'whisked up' to perfection. Mark S followed on with playing funk and rare groove. This led to Alex K getting into some anthems with a few classics thrown in.

The tempo soon picked up after this and the feeling of knowledge and experience really came through with Mr Whisk’s second set selection of the night, pulling out some rarely heard corkers, combined with a few known rhythmic gems. Alex K backed him up with some flawless beat mixing and deliciously funky house and leading up to Mark S who then pulled out the stops and upped the tempo to a harder more industrial prototype style. This led the way for a good input of breakbeat and electro-funk towards the end and finish.

Special thanks go out to Stretch, and Dave, for all their help with setting up on the night, key grip, and taking good photos throughout the night, respectively. Also many thanks to Fez for coming down and making some amazing rhythms and percussion vibes for the time he had, to Suzy for taking the time to go around and get names for the Eklectik mailing list, and finally to Mary and company for coming down to party on their way to catch a flight which left UK that Sunday morning. (That's what we call making an effort people!). For those friends who didn’t make it, you all missed out and make sure you’re there next time. (You know who you are;)
